Today, ZTE has introduced much bigger, but thinner and more powerful Axon series handset, i.e. Axon Max 6.0-inch. Before this flagship, the ZTE has already announced Axon Elite, Axon Lux and Axon Pro smartphone in their high-end Axon series. The 6.0-inch Axon MAX is an eye-catcher Smartphone with good art of design, strong specs and an attractive cost too.

For every customer price of the handset is at-most important and the 6.0-inch Axon MAX is priced at 2,799 Yuan (US$ 431 / Rs. 28630 approx.). Currently, the handset is up for pre-order in China, , with no word on international availability yet. One more thing the handset is only available in gold color option.

Along with the new handset, ZTE also introduced its “Global VIP Passport” post-sales service for China customers.

Display and Design

On the front, you have a 6.0-inch FHD AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. The metal framework and a unique layout on the sides, not just give awesome look to the handset but additionally assists with all the classy look.

There are not any well-defined ends that can trouble you when you hold the phone in your hands, but on the right spine are a volume rocker and a power control. The leading border is clear and in the base you get the Micro-USB charging/data-transfer slot combined with the 3.5mm sound jack.

The trim profile 7.5mm thick measuring 160 x 80 x 7.5mm lets it slip comfortably into my pocket. The large size of the display makes it great for watching videos, playing games, web browsing, and pretty much anything else you’d typically want to do on your phone.


Under the hood, the Axon MAX packs a 64-bit Octa-core Snapdragon 617, clocked at 1.5 GHz and bearing the Adreno 405 GPU. The Octa-Core processor of the device is further combined with 3GB of RAM for better multitasking and 32GB on-board storage (compatible with MicroSD card of up to 128GB).

Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with MiFavor 3.5 UI out of the box takes care about smooth functioning of the handset with 4140 mAh battery which also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 that lets you charge the phone from 0 to 60% in just 30 minutes.

It also has dual JBL powered stereo speakers on the front side that also feature Harman Clari-Fi technology with this we can expect some powerful sound quality.


The Axon MAX packs a 16MP with LED Flash, f/1.9 aperture, PDAF and video recording, while on the front we have an 13MP with f/2.2 aperture, which should also make you look great in video calls and selfies. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back and comes with USB Type-C reversible port.


The Axon MAX supports dual sim dual standby with 4G-LTE connectivity and other basic connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0.
