Starmobile is a local brand of Philippines, but still attracts to various customers through its gadgets. Up Neo is one example from the company, that has octa-core SoC, but still it is priced at Php 6,490 only, which is roughly 144 USD.
In terms of specs, the Starmobile UP Neo comes powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor, coupled with MediaTEk MT6592M chipset, alongside 1GB of RAM. It is equipped with a big 5.3-inches HD IPS touchscreen display with 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution. The built-in 16GB storage is also further expandable via up to 32GB via microSD card.
The Starmobile UP Neo smartphone houses a 13-megapixel AF BSI rear camera and also boasts a 5 Mega Pixel front facing snapper for selfies/video calling. Connectivity features include 3G, FM Radio, WiFi, Bluetooth, micro-USB, Mobile hotspot, GPS/A-GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack in the phone. It has also dual-SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby mode.
The handset runs the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS which is further upgradable to Android Lollipop. It is fueled by a big 2500mAH battery. It also supports IR-Blaster and Wi-Fi Direct.
