QiKU, a joint venture between Chinese Qihoo 360 and Coolpad, will launch its first smartphone Qiku Q Terra in India on November 27. With the Q Terra, QiKU will become the latest Chinese company to enter the Indian market.
The Qiku Q Terra comes with high-end specifications as well as a fingerprint sensor. It features a 6-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels resolution) IPS display with a pixel density of 386 ppi. It boasts a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon MSM8992 808 SoC clocked at 2GHz with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage with support for additional storage up to 128GB using a microSD card.
On the camera front, the QiKU Terra sports dual 13-megapixel rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, and comes with features like ‘Fast Focus’, geo-tagging, and also support for 4K video recording. There is an 8-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.4 aperture also on board that is capable to shoot videos in full-HD resolution. The dual-SIM (Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM) smartphone has connectivity options 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, hotspot and GPS / A-GPS. It bears a 3700mAh battery with support for faster charging.
The Q Terra handset runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Qihoo 360 OS with additional security. The company will reveal the retail price of the handset at the event on Friday in India.
